The BC government offers charger rebates for condo’s, apartments, and workplaces:

I. Condo’s & Apartments
Condo’s and apartments include town homes as long as the town home has a shared
parking area.

There are three rebates for condo’s and apartments:

1) EV Ready Plan
The BC government will give up to $ 3,000 towards an EV Ready Plan -- a plan for your
building to make at least one parking space per residential unit EV Ready.
CleanMotion’s Plan includes:
        • An assessment of your building’s electrical capacity
        • Current Canadian Electrical Code calculations
        • Recommendations for an EV charging system based on capacity results
        • Cost to make your building EV Ready
The building must have been constructed by August 31, 2021.

2) EV Ready Infrastructure
The above EV Ready Plan is a precondition for the EV Ready Infrastructure.
The BC government will give up to $ 120,000 towards your building’s EV Ready
Infrastructure. This is the infrastructure that needs installing in your building to
implement your EV Ready Plan.

3) EV Charger Rebate
This is for the cost of buying and installing level 2 network chargers at your building.
If your building has participated in the EV Ready Plan and EV Ready Infrastructure,
then your building can receive up to 50% of costs to a maximum of $ 1,400 per charger
and $ 14,000 per condo. complex.

If your building has not participated in the EV Ready Plan and EV Ready Infrastructure,
then your building can receive up to 50% of costs to a maximum of $ 2,000 per charger
and $ 14,000 per condo. complex.
